Mansfield Township Columbus Gateway Streetscape

Sponsored and Promoted by

Mansfield Township Special Events Committee and Mansfield Township Committee

We are trying to improve the township in many ways, and the property at the corner of Railroad Avenue and West Main Street seemed a perfect fit last year after the township purchased the property, tore the old, falling-down house down, and seeded the lot.

For some time, there has been talk about improving Columbus by adding period lighting, walkway pavers, etc. This is an opportunity to start the ball rolling by improving a small area to show residents and developers what we would like the future Columbus, Hedding and Georgetown to look like.

The Gateway Streetscape project will include a Welcome to Columbus - Mansfield Township sign, period lighting, a clock, landscaping, hardscaping (small block wall, fence, benches) and pavers that will be sold to residents who would like to include their family name or message on the paver. The total cost of the project should be about $60,000. There are about 600 pavers planned for the project. At $100 per paver, the project would be paid for by contributors instead of through the township and all taxpayers.

There are poster-size computerized pictures of the project at Town Hall.

Please consider purchasing a paver with your family name or message on the paver to fund a worthwhile project that will beautify and improve Mansfield Township in the near future.

Registration forms can be obtained by clicking here, and filling out the form. For further information please contact Marion Reeves (609-298-0463) or Ray Stupienski (609-298-2535).
